Thought for Sunday:
This week I became unstuck. You have that moment of startling clarity that clears a blockage in your mind that you hadnt realised was there or hadn’t understood that this is what had been a challenge all along. And the way forward is clearer than ever.
I watched the BBC Comic Relief programme on Billy Monger - a professional racing car driver , a double leg amputee and he’s only 21. Billy’s attitude to life is inspirational. His determination and drive , not only for himself to succeed in whatever he puts his mind to, but to changing the lives for others out of his own experience is humbling. He lives a life of service.
In serving others, we serve our own soul. Giving back, and it doesn’t have to be big gestures, we make a difference to one another by understanding, by a smile, by listening, by support, by being thoughtful, by our actions.
We give the best of ourselves by being present in the moment and really seeing what is in front of us.
Clarity of purpose to self and others - empowering.
